Elizabeth

I believe that Austen determines that it's better to be Elizabeth. Many of the reasons are found through out the book, but the main one I found was the fact that ELIZABETH is the main character of this book. If Austen had thought that being Jane was better than being Lizzy, she would have chosen Jane as the main character and she didn't. Other proof is that knowing the pride Lizzy has, we know that she will break a guy even if cold as Dracy. The character Lizzy represents is strong, independent and full of pride, meaning that it will be really hard for Lizzy to get hurt.
P.S HAPPY B-DAY KAY-CEE!!

  1. I agree, the main character is the one who either changes or stays the same throughout the book. Either way, the author wants the reader to focus on that one person.

  2. Yeah i agree with both of y'all because she is the only one who is changing which Austen wants us to see

  3. I agree with you and Ciera. The main character does change and Elizabeth does change. She lets her pride get the best of her. But now she's letting it go.
    And thanks Yari!
