I'm on the edge.... Of glory. lalala..
In the book, Elizabeth went thru a whole little phase. In the beginning up to about chapter 35, she was so full of herself. She always brought up things from the past, even worse, in front of people. She obviously likes attention. But she doesn't want to show off her true colors. She kept her feelings to herself. But one thing about her is that she makes her own decisions, she walks alone; that shows her independence. I'm not saying she makes the best decisions tho. Anyway, she changed dramatically. Ever since she sunk in that letter from Darcy, she's let go of some of her pride. SOME. She became more considerate of others opinions. She told Jane about the letter, but left out the part about Bingley. Why? She didn't want to see her sister hurt. With these changes and stuff Elizabeth had, I think Austen is saying it's better to be her.
