No more cucumbersssss ahhhhhhhhhhh
I think its a comedy of manners because the play makes fun of the way people are suppose to act and mostly do the opposite. Just like they worry about the tiny stuff instead of the bigger ones like cucumbers. Then they don't want to go to any parties because they know exactly what will happen and its boring.

Thats very true they don't like going to parties because they know that they are going to be bored and they make up crazy excuses of people who don't exist so that they don't have to attend parties.
