The two main characters focus more on the small details then they do on the big things like marriage for example. They think that it is more important to focus on the cucumber sandwiches that were order for Lady Brackenel then the importance of Gwedolyn marrying Ernest because of his name without evening knowing how he really is. What's wrong with her and what's wrong with Jack making up a brother named Ernest?
