I think poems are fine as long as i understand it ms Noonan-"what is it trying to say?!!" me-->*throws pebble*. I like limericks :D like this one i just invented:
There once was a man named tom
he was a really stinky old bum
one day he cries and then he died
and that was the end of old tom
some poems are really hard to figure out what they mean and then all the class and I will go crazy and die. maybe some freaky scary poems would be cool no lovely dovey ones yuck... Even some poem's words use these complicated words to say something even though there's some easier words to use booooo.
I agree with you Karen poems can be very confusing which makes me hate them more and more. >.< Aww poems how I hate them. Though i have to say I like your poem its pretty cool.
ReplyDeletei like your limerick:D but i still dislike poems! especially the ones that have those big words! cant they just use the simple ones its way easier. but who knows maybe i will like them after....hahaha no i wont i studied poems and still don't like them:)
ReplyDeleteNice poem, But I feel bad for tom... and sometimes I get the idea that poets like to use big words to make themselves sound all cool and deep which makes them seem pompous and cocky.

I agree with awesome Karen! Poems are confusing and makes people hate them for that reason. I also like your poem. It's short and awesome. But other than that poetry is not my thing!
