The Broken Heart by John Donne

I picked the poem "The Broken Heart" by John Donne because it talks about his feelings which guys are not capable of talking about. I like how he uses first person point of view, verbal irony, and imagery to express his feelings. In my opinion the meaning of this poem is that love can hurt. Some questions I have are did John Donne wrote this poem about someone? Did John Donne love again?

    This sounds deeeeeeep.Girls always want to know how the guy is feeling on his side of the relationship. Do they hurt as much as we do? is something that we always think about after a break up.

    :D im doing that one too awesome~! this guy likes to compare broken glass to his heart and uses a hyperbole saying he left a room without a heart,which is impossible unless you got murdered.
