Looking at the information provided from the time period in which the plot of this book takes place I think Elizabeth is, excuse my grammar, soooooooooooooooo sooooooooooooo STUPID!!!!! She had a good business deal and anyone in the right mind would have taken the proposal. She could have lived in her fathers house taking care of her other unmarried sisters but nooooo she chose what she thinks is love (which we all know she does not love Mr. Jerkface I mean Wickham). I think she should have taken the deal since she claims she hates Mr. Darcy.

I agree with you Kandy, Elizabeth did let go of a great deal she choose to say no and now she does not have anyone to take care of her and she will probably die by herself, but then again how can you marry someone you do not love and know your going to miserable for the rest of your life with.
